>> If you’re thinking about law school, here’s a cautionary tale: the Examiner reports that the George Washington University law school has been paying grads to work temp jobs. While the university promotes it as a means for grads to get work experience, critics say that program is instead a way for it to pad the employment statistics that figure into national rankings.
>> Maryland legislators are considering banning the use of restraints on female inmates who are more than four months pregnant, writes the Post. While state prisons don’t use handcuffs or shackles on women who are beyond a certain point in their pregnancy, the bill being considered would extend the restrictions to county prisons.
>> The Nationals hosted auditions on Saturday for local hopefuls that want their shot at singing the national anthem before a game, reports WTOP. Some 50 vocalists and performers were given a chance to impress judges with their auditions; a Maryland man opted to perform his version of the anthem on a lap steel guitar.
