If you live anywhere in central D.C., you’ll likely be trapped in the confines of your neighborhood tomorrow morning as masses of runners impose their evil healthy-living ways on you and your family.

Just kidding—it’s just the annual Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon. But seriously, plenty of D.C. roads will be closed for the 7:30 a.m. start, and will reopen on a rolling basis as the last runners make their way through. (All told, some 30,000 runners will be taking part.) Residents of central D.C. will be affected on the earlier side, while residents of Capitol Hill and Southwest D.C. will have to deal with later road closures. The full map of the roads that will be affected is below.

On the MPD Third District’s listserv, one resident worried about how he’d get to work: I’ve been studying the maps for this event and can’t figure out how to get to work Saturday morning. I need to go from 16th & Harvard St, NW, to south on the George Washington Parkway to Old Town Alexandria. Is there any way for me to do this? This event seems to completely block me in!!!” The district’s commander advised that he travel south on 14th Street, but that unless he’s parked south of Columbia Road he might be stuck for a while.

To those of you running, good luck! And don’t mind those of us yelling at you to get off of our damn roads. We mean it in the best way possible.
