t’s that time of year again, where productivity at your office drops to non-existent levels while your company network’s bandwidth is congested with high-definition CBS Sports simulcasts. It’s also when you say to yourself, “I didn’t even know truTV was a cable channel,” or “Why is Doug Gottlieb allowed on the air?” In other words, it’s March Madness!

And DCist is proud to announce the seventh edition of its Readers-Staff March Madness pool. With this year’s tournament, you’re better off breaking out your 20-sided die than analyzing each team’s résumé when making your picks. The field is wide open this year, and even this writer hasn’t finalized his bracket yet.

So, while the Great Danes of the University at Albany upsetting the Duke Blue Devils seems highly unlikely, anything can happen in what is one of the best months of sports. So give it your best and see if you can beat the likes of other DCist readers, editors, and photographers.

Whoever finishes with the best bracket wins a free t-shirt from the DCist merch store. And if you correctly pick Albany to beat Duke, you’ll win a non-speaking role in the Veronica Mars movie.*

You can enter your brackets here. The password is dcist. All entries must be received by Thursday, March 21 at 11 a.m. Like last year, the so-called first round of play-in games are not counted. (And even get me started on that—this thing starts with the round of 64!). CBS Sports only allows 400 participants, so hurry and get those picks in, and good luck!

* Editor’s note: DCist cannot actually guarantee you a role in the Veronica Mars movie, but we’ll send a friendly tweet to Rob Thomas. Oh, and go Danes!
