The DMV’s C Street Service Center located at 301 C Street NW will close its doors this Friday, while a new service center on Rhode Island Avenue NE is set to open on April 2.

The C Street Service Center was re-opened to the public after the Georgetown DMV was closed during the renovation of the Georgetown Park Mall. But with the new DMV office on Rhode Island Avenue set to open early next month, the C Street Service Center will again close. The only thing that will remain at that location is the DMV’s Adjudication Services.

DMV Director Lucinda Babers said recently that she was working with officials in Ward 2 with an eye towards opening a new service center there.
