The D.C.-based dating app Hinge launched in February with hopes setting up its users by the scores they give to each other’s Facebook profiles. And after about a month in operation, the company has some metrics about where all the pretty people work.

According to rankings released today by Hinge, D.C.’s hottest workforce can be found overseeing the weight machines and workout classrooms at Vida Fitness. Well, that’s not really fair, assuming a high-end gym is only going to hire young or youthful people who are in tip-top shape. Better to analyze the rest of the list.

But where does the second-most attractive group of people in D.C. work? The U.S. Senate of all places. Yes, the upper chamber of Congress, which Robin Williams once described as similar to the post-mortem cast of Night of the Living Deadalso employs the best-looking bunch of people in town. At least according to an iPhone app. Senate staffers’ counterparts in the House also made the list of the 12 prettiest places to work, but ranked a much homelier No. 11.

Outside of the gym racks and corridors of power, other sexy places to work include LivingSocial, which finished No. 4 overall, several consulting firms like Deloitte and Booz Allen Hamilton, and moneyed lobbying groups such as the Corporate Executive Board:

Another consulting firm, Navigant, was rated as the place with the most attractive male employees, while the top-rated women work at WeddingWire, an online directory of business in the wedding-planning business.
