The three Northern Virginia teenagers who created a stupid worldwide craze by taking fake falls on supermarket floors while busting open jugs of milk and juice are finally getting mopped up. By the law.
Fairfax County Police are charging the teens with seven counts each of disorderly conduct and property destruction, WUSA9 reports. The initial video was uploaded in late February by three cousins with a knack for YouTube pranks. Only this time, instead of offering mild—and dry—inconveniences to tourists on the National Mall, they decided to make milky, juicy messes at local supermarkets and leave it to lowly paid grocery clerks to clean up the wreckage.
“Gallon smashing,” as the video was known, launched copycats around the world, including some in several states who were arrested for it.
