FRIDAY

DRINK LOCAL: The Craft Beer Conference is coming to a close, but Meridian Pint (3400 11th Street NW) and BeerAdvocate are joining forces to bring together 20 local breweries for a night celebrating local brews. Every beer line in the place will be taken over by a brewery from D.C., Maryland and Virginia, and 23 casks will additionally be available. The event kicked off at 1 p.m., so rush on over as soon as you get out of work.

KARAOKE IS SO PUNK: Doing karaoke to normal music is tough, because everyone will be able to tell that you’re an awful singer. But punk karaoke doesn’t require much by way of vocal skills. The Black Cat (1811 14th Street NW) is hosting Punk Rock Karaoke tonight at the Backstage; the $8 cover will go to benefit D.C. Books to Prisons. Go ahead—yell as much as you want. 9 p.m.

SATURDAY

KITES: The cherry blossoms are almost in bloom and today is a beautiful spring day, so why not spend it flying a kite on the National Mall? The National Cherry Blossom Kite Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and yes, there will be awesome kites, tricks and competitions. Free.

RABBITS RUNNING: Must every season have some sort of run in which people dress up in something odd? Apparently so, and today it’s annual D.C. Bunny Run. As the name implies, people will meet at Stoney’s on P Street at noon and run around in bunny costumes for a while. Contributions from participants will go to benefit Easter Seals.

LOCAL PHOTOGRAPHY: Now that you’ve taken in DCist Exposed—you have, right? It’s still running—tonight the Leica store ( 977 F Street NW) is hosting an opening night party for its “D.C. As I See It” exhibit. Our own James Calder was a judge, and you may well see photographs by some of the same people that submit photos to our Flickr pool. 7 p.m. Free.

SUNDAY

BRUNCH: It’s Easter Sunday, and the Washingtonian’s Best Bites blog has compiled a list of 26 great places to go eat brunch. Do so.
