NYC five-piece Caveman made a splash with their 2011 record CoCo Beware. The band has many faces, and at any point could be psych rock, shoegaze or folk, but every time it is enjoyable. Tonight the band is playing the Black Cat, and today’s song of the day is their new single “In The City.” The track is from the band’s latest self-titled record, and it floats on a synth melody that is reminiscent of a spaced out Tears for Fears. If it was released in the 80s it would’ve become a radio staple.
Caveman play tonight with Pure Bathing Culture at the Black Cat. Tickets are $12 ahead of time and $14 at the door.
