Rhye is Los Angeles-based duo by way of Toronto and Denmark. When they first emerged on the scene with two instant classics, “Open” and “The Fall” in 2012 the duo was shrouded in mystery, but with more and more attention, the duo was revealed to be producer-vocalist Milosh and Robin Hannibal, also of the R&B duo Quadron. Rhye is like a male Sade, making smooth jams that make you want to undress. Every song on their debut record “Woman” is intimate and unforgettable. Tonight the band plays to a crowd at the Sixth and I Synagogue. Today’s song of the day is one of the group’s most believed singles “The Fall.” The track is both catchy, with Milosh’s drawn out “oh’s” and sensual vocals.
Rhye plays tonight at the Sixth and I Synagogue. Tickets $26.35.
