VARIETY: Tilted Torch presents burlesque, belly dance, contortion, and other variety in their Lion’s Den show at the Black Cat (1811 14th Street NW) this Friday. 9:00 p.m. doors, show 10:00 p.m. $15.

MOBILE MUNCHING: If you can’t keep up with all of the city’s food trucks, head down to Half and M Streets SE across from the Navy Yard Metro station from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. to take your pick from more than 20 mobile vendors as part of the monthly Truckeroo Food Truck Festival.

FRENCH MARKET: You can’t be in France today, but go for the second-best thing: Georgetown’s French Market takes place today and tomorrow on Wisconsin Avenue between P Street and Reservoir Road; it will feature over 40 Georgetown boutiques, antique shops, restaurants and galleries.

SATURDAY

RECORD STORE DAY: It’s National Record Store Day, and four of the six local participating locations are withing walking distance of each other.

RIDE, MOFO: Earlier this week we rounded up some of the area’s best bike rides. Why not try one?

POT AND POLLING: It’s April 20 today, so why not advocate for pot decriminalization and vote while you’re at it? D.C. Council candidate Paul Zukerberg is hosting a 4/20 concert on the National Mall (between Third and Fourth Streets NW) today from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; four local bands will play, and attendees will be encouraged to head to the nearby early voting center in Judiciary Square to vote in the April 23 At-Large Special Election.

SLEEPOVER: Haven’t done a sleepover in a while? Now’s your chance. The Washington Project for the Arts is celebrating its move to the Capitol Skyline Hotel (10 I Street SW) with a sleepover party featuring music, performances, arts, movies, and maybe some actual sleeping. 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. The $35 ticket gets you in and two drink tickets.

SUNDAY

COMICS: Awesome Con takes place on both days this weekend at the Washington Convention Center, and though online ticket sales have ended, you can still get them at the door. The show runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday; tickets are $15 for each day or $25 for both.
