CRAFTS: The annual Smithsonian Craft Show, which was kicked off yesterday by craft royalty Martha Stewart, has brought 121 craft artists to the National Building Museum (401 F Street NW) tonight through this Sunday. Come check out a variety of wearable art pieces, jewelry, ceramics, woodworking, and more. 10:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m. Tickets: $13 online or $15 at the door.

GRAPHIC NOVELS: Graphic novels are certainly not just for kids. In many cases they’re not for kids at all. As we mentioned yesterday, hear “graphic artists, authors, and editors Eleanor Davis, Nathan Hale, Andrés Vera Martínez, and Mark Siegel” discuss graphic novels and how they can be enjoyed by a variety of age groups at the “Growing Up with Graphics” talk at Politics and Prose (5015 Connecticut Ave NW) tonight. Following the talk, the panelists will meet up at Terasol for drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and discussion. Talk at 7 p.m., Terasol at 9 p.m. The talk is free, the Terasol meetup afterwards is $30.

THEATER: The Taffety Punk Theatre Company presents Oxygen, a play where the scenes are songs and a DJ shares the stage. Not only can you rock out at the show, you can buy the album and take it home with you. See it tonight and tomorrow at the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (545 Seventh Street SE). 8 p.m. Tickets: $15 for the show, $25 for the show and the album.
