Police today discovered the body of an 83-year-old woman who went missing Friday from Reagan National Airport. The body of Victoria Kong was found at Gravelly Point, just north of the airport along the Mount Vernon Trail, about 2 p.m., Sergeant Paul Brooks of the U.S. Park Police says.

Kong was reported missing last week when she did not meet her family following a trip to Barbados, her birth country.

She had been seen leaving the terminal on a security camera, and was last spotted along the trail about 6:30 Friday. Kong’s family had arranged for her to be greeted by a wheelchair escort.
