SKYLINE: D.C.’s skyline is much shorter than most major cities due to the Height of Buildings Act of 1910. But could that change? Take part in the first of a series of public meetings on a “Height Master Plan for Washington, D.C.,” a study of the National Capital Planning Commission and the District of Columbia Office of Planning to “explore the impact of strategic changes to the federal Height of Buildings Act of 1910.” Tonight’s meeting takes place at the Petworth Neighborhood Library (4200 Kansas Avenue NW). 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

DANCE: Three dance groups taking part in the Urban Corps transatlantic hip-hop dance festival, being put on by Alliance Française, move across the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage (2700 F Street NW) this evening. 6 p.m. Free.

MUSIC: Bobby McFerrin, ten-time Grammy winner and famous for his “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” hit, performs “joyful new takes on familiar spirituals” at the Kennedy Center (2700 F Street NW) tonight. 7 p.m. Tickets $20-$65.

HOCKEY: Can’t make it to the Verizon Center tonight to catch the Capitals play the Rangers for the series-deciding game? Watch the hockey match at Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse (2903 Columbia Pike, Arlington). Doors 6:45 p.m., game at 8 p.m. Free.

THURSDAY: Aries Spears, of MADtv and Def Comedy Jam, performs standup comedy at DC Improv (1140 Connecticut Avenue NW) this Thursday through Sunday. 8 p.m. Tickets $20.

FRIDAY: Watch funny short films and live stand-up comedians at the DC Shorts Laughs event at the U.S. Navy Memorial Heritage Center’s Burke Theater (701 Pennsylvania Avenue NW) this Friday. 7 to 9 p.m. Tickets: Tickets $15 general admission, $25 VIP.

SATURDAY: Head to Pearl Dive Oyster Palace (1612 14th Street NW) Saturday for an all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink (Abita beer) Crawfish Boil. Along with the crawfish there will also be suckling pig, cornbread, shrimp, Andouille sausage, and more. Two seatings: 12:00-2:00 p.m. and 2:30-4:30 p.m. Tickets: $65 plus tax.

SUNDAY: 3 Stars Brewery (6400 Chillum Place NW) is hosting an Oyster & BBQ Throwdown
