Are you a sad Captials fan who enjoys drowning your sorrows with food? Well, your emotional well-being and stomach are in luck.

Following the defeat of the Capitals by the New York Rangers, Basil Thyme, a food truck that serves Italian dishes, will give anyone wearing the team’s jersey, shirt, or jacket $5 off its lobster lasagna for the rest of the week.

(Farris H. on Yelp declared, “If my waistline and cholesterol could handle it, I would eat the lobster lasagna they just released every day for dinner.”)

“This is just a big bummer,” Basil Thyme owner Brian Farrell said in an email to the DCist. “I hope that cheap lobster is a way for Caps fans to somehow climb out of the emotional basement this just put us in.”

The Capitals were shut out by the Rangers, 5-0, in a game that ended their season. The Post described the loss as an “unceremonious thud.”

Basil Thyme’s movements can be tracked using its Twitter account. The truck will be parked by the State Department in Northwest today.
