Australia has always been a hot bed for indie rock and Eddy Current Suppression Ring is one of the continent’s biggest purveyors of jangly garage rock. Total Control is a supergroup made up of members from the Aussie scene, including ECSR’s guitarist Mikey Young. They have released a number of 7″s and a debut record called Henge Beat. Tomorrow night, Total Control is playing Black Cat with Parquet Courts and another Aussie group who they share members with, UV Race. Total Control just released a compilation of their 7″s, and their track “Total Control” is included. The track is a garage punk wet dream. The band plays fast and hard while all singing “Total Control” together.
