Little Daylight began in 2012 as remixers, but 2013 saw the trio moving on from other people’s music and focusing on their own. The group has so far released two original tracks. The timing is ideal, as contemporaries like Icona Pop and their now tourmate Charli XCX share a similar style. “Overdose” is the first of their tracks to get a video treatment and is the catchiest of the two. The mid-tempo track has a fun keyboard breakdown, with “oh oh” choruses.
Little Daylight plays tonight with Charli XCX at U Street Music Hall. Tickets are $15.
