THEATER: The 2013 Source Festival is serving up 25 new works (including 10-minute plays, full-length plays, artistic blind dates, and a talent show) over the next three weeks. Tonight, check out In the Midst, a collection of six 10-minutes plays, and Momentum, Interrupted, a collaboration between a dancer, artist and writer. Both events are at Source (1835 14 Street NW) tonight, Momentum, Interrupted at 7:00 p.m. for $10 and In the Midst at 8:00 p.m. for $20.

MUSIC: The United States Navy Band and Navy Ceremonial Guard perform tonight (as well as June 25, July 23, July 30, August 13, and August 20) at the U. S. Navy Memorial (Pennsylvania Ave. NW between 7th St. NW and 9th St. NW) as part of the Concerts on the Avenue series. 7:30 p.m. Free.

ENVIRONMENT: Explore how to make our city greener through efforts like composting and recycling at the Waste-to-Energy in D.C. talk at the Anacostia Community Museum (1901 Fort Place SE) this evening. 7:00-9:00 p.m. Free.

BOOKS: Comedian, writer, and podcaster (WTF with Marc Maron) Marc Maron discusses his book Attempting Normal at Sixth and I Historic Synagogue (600 I Street NW) tonight. 7:00 p.m. $20 admission, $36 for admission and one book, or $46 for one book and admission for two.
