The U Street Movie Series, which starts showing outdoor movies next Wednesday (June 19), has sent DCist their almost-definite outdoor movie lineup for this summer. Like in years past, the films they’ve selected include some D.C.-related gems, as well as some random choices.

The definite flicks include Star Wars Uncut, The Nine Lives of Marion Barry and Spirited Away.

Here’s the wild card: Either The Legend of Cool “Disco” Dan or Chuck Brown Live at the 9:30 Club will be shown.

In 2011, the U Street Movie Series featured films like the short Howard Theatre: A Century in Song and the hard to find 930 F Street, while also embracing more loosely D.C.-related films like National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets. And they followed that format in 2012 as well, with selections including D.C. Cab, Protocol, The American President, and The Pelican Brief.
