Despite allegations of its socially questionable schtick, the Fojol Bros. of Merlindia continue to remain one of the top food trucks in the country, this time earning the number three spot on the Daily Meal’s 101 Best Food Trucks in America for 2013

The Daily Meal’s massive list canvassed food trucks from more than 40 cities, and claims to have calculated their results using a methodology that factors in “staff favorites, trucks praised by organizations, and national and local publications, both in print and online.” Further qualifying elements—including a food truck’s number of Twitter followers and Facebook “likes,” along with an originality factor that examines the innovation of a truck’s menu—were also factored in the Daily Meal’s “carefully constructed mathematical equation” that determined the list. Basically, what the Daily Meal is saying, is that this list is super officially official and definitive, or whatever.

Anyways, the results procured by the Daily Meals scientific calculations revealed that the Fojol Bros. truck is the third best food truck in the country, tailing behind L.A.’s Kogi BBQ truck and NYC’s Red Hook Lobster Truck. But the Fojol Bros. wasn’t the only D.C. truck to make the list: Basil Thyme came in at 32, Jose Andres’ Pepe at 45, Red Hook Lobster Pound at 66, DC Slices at 72, and Rito Loco at 78.

If you’d like to congratulate Fojol. Bros or any of the other trucks to make the list, you can track them down here.
