>> As the Geto Boys, Scarface, Bushwick Bill and Willie D formed one of hip-hop’s most potent groups in the early 1990s and one of the South’s first big acts. The Houston trio known for “My Mind Playing Tricks On Me” have reunited for a tour that will be stopping at the Howard Theatre. 8 p.m. $25 in advance, $30 at the door.

>> “Choco-Charm Electric” at Tropicalia celebrates the electronic dance sounds of the Baltimore-D.C. area with the help of DJs Blaqstarr, Underdog and K-Meta. 9 p.m. $5.

Saturday:
>> Crooner Joe comes to the Howard Theatre for a performance of his hits including “I Wanna Know” and “All the Things.” 8 p.m. $36.50 in advance, $40 at the door.

>> DJ Dredd hosts another one of his “1958” sessions. For the uninitiated, 1958 was the birth year for three of pop music’s biggest icons: Prince, Madonna and Michael Jackson. Their music will be celebrated during this party at the 9:30 Club. 9 p.m. $15 in advance.
