D.C.’s most famous rapper says he will perform at the Washington football team’s most famous player’s wedding. In other words, Wale is going to serenade Robert Griffin III and his bride later this summer.
Wale made the announcement on HOT97 when the quarterback called into the show as a surprise. He joked that “Griff” was going to perform, as well. (He’s picked stranger collaborators in the past.)
The rapper, who just released his third album, previously nicknamed RGIII “Thrizzle” when the two met last year at the Washington football team’s training camp. He also complimented the player for being “humble.”
Griffin is clearly a fan of Wale’s music. He tweeted about the rapper’s new record, “The Gifted,” yesterday, calling it “straight fire.”
