Arlington-based food cart Mac’s Donuts is holding its first ever doughnut eating competition this July. The prize? More doughnuts.

The competition will be held July 6 at the Arlington Courthouse farmers’ market at 11 a.m. The first glutton to eat 50 mini apple cider doughnuts will be declared the winner. Rules posted on Mac’s Facebook page state that victor must chew and swallow all 50 doughnuts. “If you get sick, you are responsible to clean it up,” the rules also warn. Mac’s is presumably also not responsible for any doughnut-related health problems a participant may suffer from in the future.

The winner will receive a $100 Mac’s Donuts gift certificate, as well as the haunting knowledge that they just shoved 50 doughnuts down their throat. Interested parties should contact owner John McIntire through Facebook.
