Not that we needed more evidence that NBC4 anchor Jim Vance is awesome, but it was delivered nonetheless last night at Nationals Park before the Nats’ win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. In addition to his righteous condemnations of Washington football team’s name, epic cross-country motorcycle trips, and delightful reactions to bumbling criminals, he throws a baseball pretty well, too.

Vance was on hand to throw out the ceremonial first pitch on Black Heritage Night. And Vance did not disappoint. The 71-year-old newsman threw a high strike over the plate to Nationals reliever Tyler Clippard.
