National Zoo/Anedra Edwards

Fans of D.C.’s favorite furry fugitive, rejoice! Rusty the red panda, who entranced the nation last month when he escaped from his exhibit at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo for a day on the lam through Adams Morgan, is back on display today.

Rusty, who zoo employees believe used rain-logged trees to facilitate his supposedly escape-proof habitat, was returned to the exhibit after a week and a half in quarantine following his adventure on the streets of D.C. While Rusty was away, zookeepers modified the red panda exhibit by trimming its trees and surrounding bamboo thickets so as to reduce the area on which Rusty and his fellow red panda, Shama, can climb. The visitor barrier up top was also raised by 30 inches.

Your move, Rusty.
