Hudson Mohawke is the alias of Ross Birchard, a young up-and-comer on the electronic scene. Mohawke works primarily in the genres of trap, garage, R&B and dubstep, and has become one of the biggest names in the game. Recently, he has collaborated with Lunice to form TNGHT, and has signed a production deal with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music. He was also featured on Watch the Throne and the recently released Yeezus. His DJ set at U Street Music Hall is not to be missed. $20, 9 p.m.

WEDNESDAY
When guitarist Chuck Ragan left Hot Water Music, the remaining three members decided to continue on as The Draft. With the addition of Todd Rockhill, the band released their debut record in 2006. The Draft share the bill at the Rock and Roll Hotel with Cheap Girls and Luther. $15, 8 p.m.
THURSDAY
D.C.’s Bearshark have come a long way since their formation in 2008. Now a four piece, the band makes melodic instrumental post-rock with shades of Don Caballero and Drive Like Jehu. The band plays Fort Reno with the Washington Bach Consort. 7:15 p.m, Free.

FRIDAY
Borracho is one of the heaviest and sludgiest bands in D.C. Taking inspiration from Black Sabbath, the stoner-metal band is known for massive riffs and spaced out sounds. They will headline the Rock and Roll Hotel with Lo-Pan, Weed is Weed and Kingsnake. $10, 9 p.m.
SATURDAY
Philadelphia’s Kurt Vile made his name with lo-fi recordings but since signing to Matador Records he has released three hi-fi folk rock records to much acclaim. His latest, Walking on a Pretty Daze is arguably his bet yet. Catch him at 9:30 Club with the Swirles. $20, 8 p.m.

Eighties revivalists Saskatchewan take inspiration from the decade’s cheesier years, but their music is hardly that groan-inducing. The synth-pop band is touring behind its debut record, Occasion, with a stop at DC9. The Droids We’re Looking For and Seán Barna open. $10, 8 p.m.
