BEER: Taste seasonal beers paired with fresh fruit at the Beer and Berries tasting event at Sixth and I Historic Synagogue (600 I Street NW) tonight. Leading the tasting will be Chris O’Brien, the Beer Activist and author of Fermenting Revolution: How to Drink Beer and Save the World. Representatives from 3 Stars Brewing Company and Dogfish Head will also be in attendance. 7 p.m. $25, or $28 for admission and a Sixth & I pint glass.

MUSIC: Even though it feels like it only just began, this year’s summer Fort Reno concert series concludes tonight with Paint Branch and Quiverd. 7-9:30 p.m. Free.

FOOD & DRINK: The National Museum of American History’s Food in the Garden series gets it’s hands dirty tonight with a look at soil. Panelists from Wegmeyer Farms, the Rodale Institute, and the National Cooperative Soil Survey will discuss “compost to fertilizer to worms” and answer the question, “how does what you put into the ground affect what comes out?” 6-8 p.m. $20 (includes admission, two cocktails, and food from local farms).

OUTDOOR MOVIE: Capitol Riverfront Front Row Films (250 M Street SE at Canal Park) wraps up its DC Versus Marvel Comics outdoor film fest tonight with a screening of The Dark Knight Rises. Sundown. Free.
