A “lost unicorn” flyer, similar to ones seen around the country in past years, has shown up in D.C.
DCist contributor Alexis Hauk sent us this photo of a flyer, posted on the bulletin board at Columbia Heights Coffee, which advertises a missing pet unicorn named Rainbow.
Beautiful two-year-old pet unicorn last seen on Thursday evening frolicking near the Columbia Heights dog park. She responds to the name “Rainbow” when called. Her most distinguishing feature is perhaps the pearly white horn on her head. She hasn’t been on her own since she was rescued from unicorn poachers almost two years [ago]. I can assure you that I have all the required paper work.
If you see her, please contact me immediately. I am prepared to offer a hefty reward for her safe return. Email Kris at RainbowTheUnicorn1@gmail.com
But the plea does not end there. It seems Kris the unicorn lover, who has yet to respond to DCist’s request for comment, actually just wants a date.
Also, I’ve found Okcupid to be a bust. If you’re a gay/lesbian/bisexual woman looking for a fun and energetic lady of 25, email me and I’ll give you my handle! It could be magical. : D
We can already imagine the meet-cute scene in Must Love Unicorns.
Update: Kris the unicorn lover writes in to DCist to explain the flyer: “I wanted to give people something to smile about or laugh at! I always see some fun flyers/artwork/jokes in the Columbia Heights neighborhood. And unicorns are my spirit animal!!! hahha, And no, I’m not crazy! Just thought I’d do something fun to put myself out there! Doubt if I’ll actually get any dates but thought I’d go for it!!!”
