Attention Tommy Wells: A D.C. ambulance caught fire this morning in Southeast D.C. for unknown reasons.

WTOP has the details:

The ambulance crew was tending to an emergency on the 4700 block of Benning Road around 9:30 a.m. when the fire broke out in the engine compartment of the crew’s ambulance parked outside, says D.C. Fire and EMS.

No information has been released about what caused the fire. An investigation is underway.

This issue comes days after an ambulance meant to accompany President Obama ran out of gas, likely, because of a broken fuel gauge.
