CAUSE CONCERT: Break out your brightly colored balaclavas and get those protest signs ready: The second annual Pussy Riot Solidarity Concert is going down in front of the Russian Embassy (at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Edmunds Street NW) tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. This year’s concert will feature performances from sludgy noise-rockers Jail Solidarity, Soft Punch—the atmospheric solo project from Tereu Tereu’s Ryan Little—and power pop-punk group G.U.T.S. The program will also feature speakers from the human rights movement and Russian diaspora. — Matt Cohen
RUM: Celebrate National Rum Day at Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar (801 9th Street NW) with deeply discounted Classic Mojitos, Passion Fruit Mojitos, Coconut Mojitos and Açai Caipríñisimas. “Cappy Hour” runs from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. You can also climb aboard the Rum Runner Party Bus, which leaves from Smith Commons (1245 H Street NE) at 6:15 p.m. and visits other bars that serve rum. $75.
ROLLE BOLLE: As D.C. Beer Weeks draws to a close, Penn Social (801 E Street NW) will host a party “celebrating all-things Belgian.” This includes a Rolle Bolle tournament that boasts a 2013 cruiser bike as a prize, as well as several types of Belgian beer (Fat Tire, Ranger IPA, Shift Pale Lager, Pump Kick Ale, French Aramis IPA, Coconut Curry Hefeweizen, Yuzu Berliner Weisse and Billy’s Beer). 6-9 p.m. A $5 ticket to enter the tournament is available here.
SATURDAY:
MUSEUM PARTY: Asia After Dark at the Freer Gallery of Art (1150 Independence Avenue SW) this Saturday celebrates Chinese martial arts. The event will include kung fu and tai chi demos, DIY teacup sleeve crafting, gallery conversations, specialty cocktails, small bites, and more. 7-11 p.m. $25 in advance, $30 at the door (ticket includes one drink). — Elisabeth Grant

FOOD & DRINK: Justin Bittner, longtime chef at Bar Pilar (1833 14th Street NW), is leaving the restaurant after seven years.
