Do you remember when Marines were making videos inviting famous people to balls, and sometimes this actually got the famous person to attend? That’s apparently still going on!
Last month, Marine Jimmy Shea and his wife Crystal invited Washington football team quarterback Robert Griffin III and his wife Rebecca to their last Marine Corps Ball. RGIII responded this week on Twitter, informing the upbeat couple that he would be unable to attend, as he has a game the day after the ball.

Shea, a “sergeant in the Marine Corps who served as a combat correspondent in Afghanistan,” according to WJLA, took the disappointment in stride.
