When Carol Burnett is awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor at the Kennedy Center in October, she will be feted by two of the funniest women in comedy today, a.k.a. your two best friends.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are among the famous people who will appear at the October 20 ceremony to celebrate Burnett. They will be joined by Julie Andrews, who appeared with Burnett in an Emmy-winning Carnegie Hall special, Lucie Arnaz, Tony Bennett, Tim Conway, Rashida Jones, Vicki Lawrence, Maya Rudolph, Martin Short and Rosemary Watson.
Fey was given the award in 2010, while Poehler has yet to receive the award, although she inevitably will.
The ceremony is already sold out, because life in unfair. But it will be broadcast on WETA this November.
