Good news, Shake Shack lovers: The burger and custard chain is coming to Union Station in 2014.
The outpost will be located in Union Station’s West Hall, which is currently home to a Potbelly, Chop’t and Chipotle, and will open in mid-2014. The City Paper was the first to tip D.C. off to the location back in August. (Remember August? Ah.)
A Shake Shack will also be opened in Tysons Corner, according to a release.
“Both of these spots are a natural fit for us,” Randy Garutti, Shake Shack CEO, said in a release. “Being in Union Station places us in a truly historic building that’s also a central transportation hub for D.C. locals and visitors. Tysons Corner takes us beyond D.C. to an ever-expanding, thriving community in Northern Virginia, where we can build a Shack from the ground up.”
Shake Shack currently has three locations in D.C. at Dupont Circle, Nationals Park and Penn Quarter. The city is still waiting for fresh cut fries.
