FASHION: Amy Henderson of the National Portrait Gallery will chat with Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant tonight at the National Museum of Natural History (10th Street and Constitution Avenue NW). Fashion talk, and maybe some gossip about Jon Hamm (please?), will be followed by drinking, naturally, with “Mad Men-inspired cocktails provided by Jack Rose Dining Saloon, Ledroit Brands, and Haus Alpenz importers.” You must be at least 21-years-old to attend. 7-9:30 p.m. $50.

HAIL: Tonight, the Washington football team plays its first game of the regular season against the Philadelphia Eagles. Several bars across the city will show the game and offer drink specials, including Meridian Pint (3400 11th Street NW), Public Bar (1214 18th Street NW) and Union Pub (201 Massachusetts Avenue NE). WEDDING: This month, DCist’s regular About Tonight writer Elisabeth Grant is off because she’s getting married. (Congrats, Lis!) It then seems fitting that we note that The Wedding Salon will host a bridal show at The Madison (1177 15th Street NW) tonight. “Couples enter the Wedding Salon greeted by a florally-designed Canopy archway presenting a mock bride and groom couple modeling couture gowns and stylish tuxedos or suits. Guests continue to the ceremony room boasting vendors from necessary categories such as invitations, hair and makeup, fitness, ceremony music and more.” 4-8 p.m. $75.00 for ticket-holder and guest.
