What would you do for a free large steak and a gift card? Eat as much water ice as your stomach can hold on a stage in front of a crowd of people, opening yourself up to potential embarrassment and ridicule? Here’s a contest for you.

Taylor Charles Steak & Ice will hold a five-minute Italian water ice eating contest during the H Street Festival. The showdown will begin at 3 p.m. on September 21 at the Gospel Stage. The grand prize will be “steak” and “ice,” meaning “a very large rib-eye” and a $150 gift card to Steak & Ice.
