The Baltimore Ravens say they are looking into a report that wide receiver Jacoby Jones was injured after a fight broke out on a party bus chartered in D.C. for his teammate Bryant McKinnie’s birthday.

TMZ has the report, which features a stripper named Sweet Pea and a gigantic Ace of Spades bottle.

Sources at the scene tell us … at about 3 AM, as people were leaving Opera Ultra Lounge, people on the bus began fighting. In addition to teammates, we’re told at least one stripper was on board.

One eyewitness tells us he saw a bottle being swung at Jacoby Jones — it connected with his head and hurt him. We’re told an ambulance was called “for a bleeding male” but he was not taken to the hospital.

Our sources say a stripper named Sweet Pea is the one who hit Jacoby with a gigantic Ace of Spades bottle and this may have triggered the brawl. We’re told the bottle smashed over his head and he was “bleeding everywhere.”

We’re told Jacoby’s friends tried to retaliate against Sweet Pea but Bryant McKinnie tried to stop him, and a fight broke out between the friend and Bryant.

Patrick M. Gleason, assistant director of public relations for the Ravens, said in an email “We’re aware of the media report involving Jacoby and currently gathering more information.” The Ravens later tweeted “Jacoby Jones is in the building today, has attended meetings and gone through his usual rehab.”

At a press conference this afternoon, Ravens coach John Harbaugh addressed the report: “Not very impressed, personally, with the report. It’s not something we want to be known for.”

“What do you want to be known for? Do you want to be known as a football player, or do you want to be known for that?” he continued. The Ravens official Twitter account also reported “Today is John Harbaugh’s birthday. He laughed off a question about whether he’ll celebrate on a party bus.”

Gleason later told DCist that no press release or statement would be issued about the alleged incident.

Fred Smoot, a former Washington football team player, took to Reddit to confirm “I WAS NOT on the party bus with Bryant McKinnie last night.”

“Man this is hilarious, I’m glad I didn’t go out last night!” Smoot said on Reddit. He then later confirmed “oh I was invited! I just know better!
