As forewarned, Metro will only operate six-car trains until the federal government shutdown ends because of decreased ridership.

Rail ridership is down 22 percent today as compared to last Wednesday, according to a Metro spokesperson. He could not provide numbers on bus ridership.
Ridership during yesterday’s morning commute was down by 10 percent, the Post reported.
The people of Washington are noticing the change.
