Dan Croll is a singer-songwriter who makes tropical-influenced electropop. Like kindred spirits Vampire Weekend, Croll wears his Paul Simon admiration as a badge of honor, while his softly sung vocals compliment elements of electronic and R&B in his music. The native Brit has amassed a sizable audience back home, but he’s just now starting to break through here in the States. This year he released his first EP, From Nowhere, and the standout track, “In / Out” is a sunny pop gem. Tropical guitars breeze over a steady drum beat, that sounds something akin to post-Vampire Weekend pop-rock. And when the chorus hits, it’s a joyous toe-tapping rush. Croll will be playing at Sixth & I Synagogue this Sunday.

Dan Croll plays with Free Form Radio at The Sixth & I Historic Synagogue. Tickets are $10 adv /$12 doors.
