Dozens of people were arrested over the weekend by the Metropolitan Police Department in a prostitution sting.
In what sounds like a bargain bin action movie sequel, “Operation Off the Streets 2″ resulted in the arrest of 60 people for prostitution-related complaints acquired through “various available avenues,” including “911 calls, listserv postings as well as at various community meetings held throughout the city.”
“The cases closed involved both men and women and ranged from basic street level to internet and hotel prostitution in the Northwest section of the city,” MPD said in an email announcing the arrests.
