As the House was in the midst of passing a bill to reopen the federal government and raise the debt limit, a stenographer took to the dais to deliver a message from the Holy Spirit. It went a little something like this:

He will not be mocked. He will not be mocked. The greatest deception here is this is not one nation under God. It never was. It never was. Had it been, it would not have been — the Constitution would not have been written by Freemasons. They go against God. You cannot serve two masters. You cannot serve two masters. Praise be to God, lord Jesus Christ.

The woman, identified by Fox News as Dianne Reidy, was taken to a local hospital to be evaluated, U.S. Capitol Police told ABC News.

In an email to Fox’s Chad Pergram, Reidy explained that Holy Spirit instructed her to deliver the outburst: “For the past two and a half weeks, the Holy Spirit has been waking me up in the middle of the night and preparing me (through my reluctance and doubt) to deliver a message in the House Chamber. That is what I did last night.” Her husband Dan said in a separate email, “My wife is a sweet, level-headed wonderful woman of God. I am proud of her.”
