The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking help in identifying and catching two shirtless suspects involved in a robbery at Maury Elementary School in Capitol Hill earlier this month.
According to a press release, the two suspects entered the school, located at 1250 Constitution Avenue NE on Sunday, October 6 at approximately 11:45 a.m. They were captured by the school’s security cameras roaming through the halls with their shirts wrapped around their faces instead of on their torsos, entering different classrooms and making off with a cart full of the school’s property.
Police are seeking any information that could lead to the arrest of these two suspects. So if they—or their shirts—look familiar to you, contact the MPD at 202-727-9099 or send an anonymous text message to 50411. Currently, the MPD is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest of a person or persons suspected of burglary.
