MUSIC: Apparently we’re in the midst of yet another emo revival. Or not. Regardless, the genre has moved from midwestern basements back into the general music consciousness. That said DC 9’s line-up features some of the old and new guard. Missouri’s Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin will share the stage with up-and-coming Brooklyn band A Great Big Pile of Leaves and Baltimore power-pop band Joy Classic. $12-14, 8 p.m. –Andy Hess
FOOD & DRINK: Can’t wait until Thanksgiving? Feast on slow-roasted turkeys, pan roasted Brussels sprouts, truffled mashed potatoes, sausage and sage stuffing, and cranberry jam paired with a bourbon tasting at Jackson 20’s (480 King Street Alexandria VA) Wild Turkey and Bourbon dinner tonight.
