Frager’s is getting back into the hardware game.

As Capital Community News first reported, the historic business will reopen its hardware department at its temporary location at 1323 E Street SE. Nuts, bolts and “everything needed for our revered Capitol Hill homes” will be available, as well as key-cutting. CCN reports that the department should be running by early November. Frager’s location on Pennsylvania Avenue was destroyed by a June fire.

Frager’s will also host a pumpkin carving contest from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday at its pad location near Eastern Market. That location will also sell Christmas trees this winter.
