Photo by afagenThis year’s National Christmas Tree lighting will take place on December 6 (the negative 19th day of Christmas), just like last year, the National Park Service and the National Park Foundation announced today.
Free tickets to the event, once again, will be distributed lottery-style beginning October 31 (negative 55) at 10 a.m. both online and through the phone number 877-444-6777. There are 3,000 seated tickets and 14,000 standing-room tickets available through the lottery, which closes on November 4 (negative 55) at 10 a.m. Winners will be notified by November 7 (negative 48). The event takes place at the Ellipse, just south of the White House, and features performances by musicians.
There are 62 days until Christmas.
