Singer Chris Brown was arrested earlier this morning outside the W Hotel on 15th Street.

The Metropolitan Police Department confirms that Brown was arrested along with Christopher Hollosy after they “were involved in a physical altercation with another male.” Both were charged with felony assault. According to TMZ, the first outlet to report the news, “Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … Brown got into an argument with a man outside the W Hotel… and allegedly began punching him… Our law enforcement sources say Brown did not appear to be under the influence of anything at the time of the incident.”

The victim was apparently taken to a hospital. Brown, 24, had been hosting a party at Park at 14th last night:

Brown is currently on probation for beating ex-girlfriend Rihanna in Los Angles in 2009. TMZ points out, “This could be grounds for violating his probation — which means he could be sentenced to prison for nearly 4 years … worst case scenario for him.”
