A Virginia woman who had lived for over a century died in a car crash yesterday.

Fairfax County police say that 103-year-old Katie Grosse was the passenger in a car that crashed near the area of Old Dominion Drive and Dolley Madison Boulevard in Mclean. Grosse was a passenger in a Toyota Sienna being driven by an 81-year-old woman who apparently lost control of the vehicle while turning right, according to police. Two cars were struck by the Sienna, but none of the passengers in those cars were hurt.

Grosse was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
