A little while back, we posted about the new single, “Much,” from local garage-pop band Typefighter. The single, the first off of their forthcoming debut full-length, The End of Everything, is a bouncy, anthemic joy ride that riffs on the nostalgia of early ’70s power-pop, while employing a rootsy, garage-rock atmosphere. It begins earnestly enough, with a slow-building verse, before exploding into a full-on fist-pumping Springsteen-esque chorus with a barrage of infectious “Heeeyyyyooohhhh!” belted out by singer/guitarist Ryan McLaughlin.

And now, the single has an appropriately adorable music video to go along with it. The video, directed by Aviv Rubinstien, is like something out of a Wes Anderson film, with a basic premise of a massive “war in the woods,” between two groups of kids. The protagonist gears up and meets with his comrades to engage in a massive neighborhood food fight. Of course, there’s a cute little love story thrown in their for good measure.
