After six months, the Giant on H Street NE will no longer be open all the time beginning November 9.
The store will go from being open 24-hours a day to being open from 6 a.m. to midnight, as Frozen Tropics first reported on Twitter. Giant spokesperson Jamie Miller said the hours are being shortened because of the construction in the area and vacancies in the residential complexes nearby. Indeed, Streetcar infrastructure installation has shut down access to Third Street NE from H Street NE, cutting off direct access to Giant’s parking garage. Those streets are expected to reopen later this year.
Miller said they’ll revisit the hours once construction settles down and more apartments are occupied.
