PARTY: You’re invited to Zombie 80’s Halloween Prom at The Passenger (1021 7th Street NW) tonight. If you’ve been dying to dress up as an 80s character who has been zombified, here’s your chance. The evening will include an 80’s dance party, costume contest, prom photos, candy, and more. 5 p.m.-3 a.m. ($5 after 9 p.m.)

VARIETY: The Black Cat’s (1811 14th Street NW) 2013 Halloween Circus tonight features music, burlesque, and sideshow performances. Come out for Jonny Grave and The Tombstones, Miss Shevaughn and Yuma Wray, Cherie Sweetbottom and Gigi Holliday, and others. Doors 8:00 p.m. $10 in advance, $12 day of show.

DOG COSTUME CONTEST: Humiliate your pup for a good cause! Hotel Monaco and Jackson 20 in Alexandria (480 King Street, Alexandria, Va.) are hosting a Doggie Howl-o-ween Costume Contest to benefit the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria. Registration from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. (contest limited to 50 dogs), contest at 6:00 p.m., and winners announced at 7 p.m. $10 registration fee for participants and $10 suggested donation for those who just come for the show.
