Each week, DCist editors and contributors come up with a new list highlighting the best things in Washington—whether that be restaurants, bars, stores, places, or, hell, scenes from movies filmed in D.C. As there’s only so many of us, often times, things are omitted from these list that readers feel should be there. And most of the time, you, dear readers, are quick to politely* suggest what should have been on the list.

Despite popular belief, DCist editors do go through all the comments and read what you have suggested. Thus, we’re going to start a new feature where we’ll highlight what we missed in our “Best of DCist” list each week based on the suggestions from you.

For last week’s “Best Brunch Spots in D.C.,” we came up with a solid list of 13 brunch spots not to be missed in D.C., but here are a few more readers came up with.

Commenter Larissa Fair suggested Ted’s Bulletin, Beacon Bar & Grill, Founding Farmer’s, District Commons, and Seasons in the Four Seasons Hotel. Commenter Bethesdaist suggested Annie’s Paramount Steakhouse near Dupont Circle, and Suicide_Blonde recommended Local 16 on U Street.

In yesterday’s “Best Places to Splurge,” commenter Dread Pirate Roberts kindly suggested Uber as a good way to splurge on transportation, Black Salt and Luke’s Lobster for food, and Burberry for splurging on fashion (also DCist T-shirts). Commenter Scooterj2003 suggested Jose Andres’ Minibar, and Joan Arkham suggest the $9 salads at Chop’t.
