Hellogoodbye had a brush with the mainstream in 2006. The band rode the wave of post-emo electronic pop music that fostered such terrible bands like Girls Like Boys, Metro Station and Owl City. Unlike those previously mentioned bands, Hellogoodbye always had talent, and while they were no longer radio darlings they could still keep a career. A full eight years after the band’s debut album comes Everything is Debatable released this Tuesday, their third record. With lead single “The Magic Hour is Now,” they wash away the preteen emo sound of their previous efforts for something more stable and relatable. Forrest Kline still has a nasally voice, but the music is more mature and less grating. The band are embarking on a tour with Metric and Paramore this fall with a stop closer to here at the Patriot Center. It will be a great reintroduction to the band.

Hellogoodbye play November 9th with Metric and Paramore at the Patriot Center Tickets are $35-$50.
